3.1 Etching Solder Paste Stencil Design

Our full service in-house chemical etching department specializes in thin metal etching with materials from .001" up to .050". Thicker material may be available on request. We can etch individual pieces or in panel form. We also can provide electrolytic nickel and type 1 gold plating for up to 12''x18'' panels. Other custom plating and coatings are available as well.

3.2 Laser-cut Solder Paste Stencil Design

Laser-cut solder paste stencil ensuring the finest quality finish on the market today. We use a .001" laser beam with 98% overlap creating an extremely smooth hole that provides the best paste release. Most stencil fabricators use a .003" laser leaving mouse bites on the aperture edge.

3.3 Solder Paste Stencil Design with Frame (Also called "Glue-in" or Mounted Stencils)

Framed Solder Paste Stencil or glue-in stencils are laser cut stencil foils permanently mounted in a stencil frame using a mesh border to tightly stretch the stencil foil taut in the frame. This Solder Paste Stencil is designed for high volume screen printing on printed circuit boards. They are recommended for printed circuit board assembly when doing production runs. Our framed Solder PCB Stencil provides optimum solder paste volume control. Framed Solder Paste Stencils have smooth aperture walls and can be used for 16 Mil pitch and below and for Micro BGAs.

3.4 Solder Paste Stencil Design without Frame (Also called SMT stencil foil, framless foil stencil)

Frameless Solder Paste Stencil is designed to work with stencil tensioning systems also known as Reusable Solder Paste Stencil like the Universal Frame. These Solder Paste Stencil does not need to be permanently glued in a frame. Frameless Solder Paste Stencil is significant less expensive than Framed Stencils and reduce storage space requirements. Or Frameless Solder Paste Stencil is designed for screen printing on printed circuit boards. They are recommended for prototype printed circuit board assembly or short runs. Our Frameless Solder Paste Stencils provide optimum solder paste volume control. They have smooth aperture walls and can be used for 16 Mil pitch and below and for Micro BGA's.
